Lessons Learned in Home Décor {Dining Room Redo}

  1. DO NOT measure your outlet on a wall with the plastic cover off and the metal tip of the measuring tape inside the hole. This will cause a spark, pop, and the power to go out. Not fun.
  2. Jig-saw's are scary! I definitely need someone to teach me how to use it, because I have no idea!
  3. Home Depot cut's crooked and it's frustrating. Now I need to go get it cut again. Good thing I only needed 2.5 ft of an 8ft board. They have two more chances.
  4. Compressors are loud and scary.
  5. I need my husband's help.
  6. SOON my dining room will be complete and it will be amazing! (Kelly Kapoor Voice; The Office) Until then, I may have a few more things to say. If you need me I will be watching shows on Hulu Desktop, which rocks!

P.S. This all happened tonight.

Good luck, Home Depot.... perhaps Lowes will be better?

Okay so I've had home depot make cuts for me, and yes most of the time they have been wrong.....Is it to much to ask to measure twice and cut once???

jen i love your blog and can't wait to see more pictures! this is so random but i was talking to my doctor today and some how we got on the topic of learning to use a saw (weird, i know) but he told me there is a sensor you can buy for $100 and it will stop the saw from cutting you. i guess he saw them do a demo with a hot dog and it didn't even leave a knick..

I just spent a good portion of my (should-be-doing-homework) time looking through your blog, and I have one thing to say...

I think I'm in love.

Will you be my best friend?? I think we have a lot in common. :)

Okay, I won't be weird. But, I am definitely adding you to my blog roll.

Keep on workin' it!
